Germanic Europe is the part of Europe in which Germanic languages are predominant. This area corresponds more or less to north-western Europe and some parts of central Europe.

The main religion of the region is/was Protestantism, but the further south you go, you encounter more countries with a Catholic majority (including southern Germany (particularly Bavaria), Austria and also Belgium and southern Netherlands).

This region consists of the constituent country of England, Iceland, Germany, Austria, Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein, the Faroe Islands, the German speaking part of Switzerland, the Flemish Region and the smaller East Cantons in Belgium, the Swedish-speaking municipalities of Finland, Alsace-Moselle and French Flanders in France, and the South Tyrol autonomous province in Italy.
