Marisa Berenson

Marisa Berenson (born February 15, 1946) is an American actress and former model.

The granddaughter of legendary fashion designer Elsa Schiaparelli, Berenson played the Frau von Aschenbach in Luchino Visconti's 1971 film Death in Venice, the Jewish heiress Natalia Landauer in the 1972 film Cabaret and Lady Lyndon in the 1975 film Barry Lyndon.

She has appeared since that time in a number of other films, most of them European, where she is based.

Her younger sister was the late photographer Berry Berenson, who had been married to the actor Anthony Perkins.

Berry Berenson died on board American Airlines Flight 11, which was crashed into the World Trade Center in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. She is believed to have been 53 years old.
