nuco

Río Pánuco or the Pánuco River is a river in Veracruz, Mexico. It flows to the Gulf of Mexico, with it's mouth at Ciudad Madero on the border between Tamaulipas and Veracruz.

It's source is the River Moctezuma in the Valley of Mexico, on the Plateau of Anáhuac, where it serves as a channel for water-drainage for the city of Mexico. From there, it follows a course of the state borders between Hidalgo and Queretaro as it moves towards San Luis Potosi. It takes the name 'Río Pánuco' on reaching Veracruz.

It is approximately 500Km in length but only the last 15 Km is navigable for larger ships.
