Robert Pastorelli (June 21, 1954 – March 8, 2004) was an American actor from New Brunswick, New Jersey.
Pastorelli had many roles on TV, in movies, and on the theatrical stage, but is probably best known for the seven years he played painter Eldin Bernecky on the television series Murphy Brown. In 1993, Pastorelli gave a chilling performance as a killer in the film Striking Distance where he co-starred with Bruce Willis and Sarah Jessica Parker.
Pastorelli was found dead in his home at Hollywood Hills in 2004. The coroner's office later reported that he died of a heroin overdose. Five years earlier, his girlfriend, 25-year-old Charemon Jonovich, was found dead in their home. Police think she may have accidentally shot herself.
His last role was as an oddball hitman in Be Cool, reuniting him with Michael star John Travolta.
